To register the Microsoft Authenticator app with Truist, start by installing the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. If you have an iPhone, use the Apple App store. If you have an Android, use the Google Play store. Alternatively, scan the QR codes below

If you just go to the App Store or Google Play Store and search, be sure you get the correct one. Even if you search for "Microsoft Authenticator", the first one isn't going to be the correct one. It has to say Microsoft on it!

Once you have the app installed run the app but do not sign in using your email. Then, login to the Truist website on your computer. It should prompt you to register for two-factor authentication and give you a QR code.

Go to the Authenticator app on your phone and click the plus in the upper right:

Select Other (Google, Facebook, etc)

Scan the QR code that is on your computer screen. You should then see the ESP entry in your authenticator app with your name (or property name) on it.

Enter the code that you see on the authenticator app into the website in the box that says “Code” and then click the “Verify” button.

This should register the app to your account. When you login to Truist, you will need to use your password and will then be prompted to enter your code from the authenticator app. Open the app and enter the code just like you did above. The code will remain valid for 30 seconds.
